November 2022: Update 2
It's November 11th as I write this, and the sun is shining, the air is crisp, and I've already enjoyed 2 cups of coffee and half a cup of tea.
Normally by this time, I've already put some words to the page, but I've been slow and lazy and busy avoiding my word count by doing everything and ANYTHING else but write.
*face palm emoji here*
Oh well, it is what it is. I'm hitting writers' block— hard! But that's no excuse. At some point today, I'll need to tie myself down to my desk chair and just get to writing.
But first.... an update on how I'm doing.
In my last update, I shared that I had a big whopping zero words written, and I was getting an incredibly late start on NaNoWriMo. And to make up for that late start, I was facing 3,125 words a day to catch up and win this thing.
Well... I didn't do that unfortunately. Here's how it broke down:
November 8: 0
November 9: 3290
November 10: 1236
Total: 4526
Since actually starting NaNo on 11/8, I only managed to hit my goal one day. Yesterday was a total mess, and by the end of the day, I had to drag myself to the computer to get any work done. I told myself I had to write for at least 30 minutes, which turned into 45 minutes and gave me the 1236 words I managed to produce. Even though I didn't hit my goal of 3k, I was satisfied that I managed to get some words on there.
But I'm not giving up! There's still time to catch up and win this thing!
The Plan
The plan is still 3,125 words per day. I do have to make up for lost time, but I'm going to just focus on those 3,125 words each day for now.
Including today, I have allotted 6 working days for myself. That's 18,750 words.
That's a lot of words, folks.... But I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the inspiration fairy to come sprinkle some of her motivation magic and help me kick it into high gear.
